To buy, or not to buy?

That is the question.
Yikes.
I want them, but I have two definite overseas adventures and one hypothetical to save for.
Shit damn crap.
I can't help it, I am a moth to anything with glitter.
I must have been a drag queen in my past life.

Oh Bruce

Today has been a day of ridiculous emotions.

I wish I could just turn this up and dance around my room and forget about everything.
But alas, my room is too messy and everyone has gone to bed.

Tomorrow it is.

My love.

I love music.

Not a moment of my life goes by where there is not a song playing in my head. I  have spent many the university exam using spare paper to write the lyrics of my favourite songs instead of scaffolding my ideas on 'Women in Contemporary Society' or the 'Sigmund Freud's theories on the unconscious mind' YAWN.

One thing that grinds my gears though is when I ask someone what type of music they are into and they say "All different types".
That just means that they like many different types but don't love any!

When I was in a bar in Switzerland I got talking to a British fella, probably a little younger than me and we got to chatting about life and ultimately it led into what types of music we both enjoyed. After I had gushed for what seemed like hours on my favourite artists and bands it was his turn to reply and he said,
"Many different types."
"Like what?"
"You know, a little bit of everything."
"Name someone" I pushed ever so eloquently, but did this poor young man want to reveal anything to me?  No. So it was adios to him.

Now I concluded that he either was embarrassed of his music taste or he was one of those rare people who don't really enjoy music. Which is something hard to fathom but hey, each to their own, I don't like cats. No judgement.

Now to disprove and completely contradict my opinion on those who state they like all different types when asked, I well and truly LOVE all different types.

As stated earlier my favourites are quickly to be listed. I love the 60's, 70's and 90's stuff the most but that doesn't mean that I am not convinced that I am an undiscovered rap superstar who has many the dream of being married to Snoop Dogg. Weird and creepy, yes definitely. I also can't help myself when it comes to belting out Miley Cyrus' 'Party In the USA' or 'Not ready to make nice' by The Dixie Chicks.
I've learnt to not be ashamed of these interesting song choices, but to embrace them.

A good song, is a good song.

Chickity China, the Chinese Chicken

I have a personal goal for when I go to China in two weeks.

To eat McDonalds with a Panda.

How hard could it be?

Chillin' Like A Villain

Snap.

We have just come out of long weekend in Australia and I am still on the mend after many days of liver destroying debauchery.

Although I have countless things I need to achieve today, like fix up an assignment and clean my room all I can be bothered to do is sift through Terry's Diary. But to reinforce my lack of coherence at present, I was confused to why the website was not working only to realise I had typed in Terry's Dairy instead.

I first came across the work of Terry Richardson after I bought the Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen 'Influence' coffee table book. His images are a lot more 'real' and 'raw' compared to other photographers I follow such as David LaChapelle or Annie Lebowitz.

But really its not his magazine shoots that I enjoy the most, its his candid daily snaps that show off an enviable NYC social life with pals such as Chloe Sevigny and Jared Leto. Swoon.

Makes me wanna buy a good camera and just live the life of a vagabond and take as many photos as I can.

An Ode to a Wolf Hat

3 Years ago this weekend, my dearest wolf hat made its world debut.

She was purchased on a whim one morning before work at Sydney's Paddy's Markets for a a shocking $25.

Our  first adventure was at a winter music festival where my hat was continually patted and photographed. A lot of people wanted to wear her which I would reply with a polite and cordial 'get fucked'. At one stage some idiot even tried to steal her off my head. That person got a nice punch in the face. Who am I kidding, more of a slight touch as I have no upper body strength what so ever.

Since then dear old Wolfie has been to two more music festivals, many a BBQ or party, shielded the public from a number of bad hair days and even ventured across the globe with me.

She was the main attraction at the summer camp talent show when we performed 'Thriller'.

She then made it to the top of Europe A.K.A the Jungfraujoch.
And frolicked through the fields of Switzerland.

Back in 2008 when I adopted dear Wolfie who would have known that wolf hats would be the next chic headwear. Proof of such are the following images of my favourite British model Daisy Lowe in November 2009 sporting a wolf hat of her own. (I wore it first, such an entrepreneur!)

Wherever my dear Wolf Hat ventures she sure puts a smile on the face of the people around her, and I am incredibly thankful for the people in the sweat shop in China who crafted her.

But seriously people, back off and get your own.
