Ready Steady Shattered Dreams

I had always planned on going onto Ready Steady Cook as a contestant.

My bag would consist of many types of cheeses and cylindrical shaped vegetables for jokes and innuendo a plenty with host Peter Everett.

He would tell me I was cute and ask ladies in the audience if they had any eligible bachelor sons to set me up with.

My friend clown would be my opposition and we would talk about our travelling the world and our arguments. Our witty banter being about our lack of adventures in food exploration and my passion for Fast Foods.

It would have been 20 mins of quality viewing. Something I would definitely DVR to show my kids one day.

Now this evening I  am casually browsing through the television guide and I see that comedian Colin Lane is the new host.

DREAMS SHATTERED.

Peter Everett, goodbye. I will miss you. My days off  from uni will have no joy anymore without your delightful voice and puns about perishables.

I will be playing the 'Ready Steady Cook' drinking game found on Facebook as an honourable tribute.
