So since finishing my last assignment for university around a month ago, I have been ever so lazy.
I have been working a fair bit also as it is almost Christmas and Christmas is hell in retail. But other than working, I have been doing a whole lot of nothing.
My days off work are a consistent routine of sleeping in as long as I can.
Having a cup of tea.
Harassing my dog for a while.
Wasting a significant amount on Facebook.
Having another cup of tea.
Looking through all the blogs I have bookmarked.
Having lunch.
Annoying my dog some more.
More tea, then finally settling down for the rest of the day watching shows on my laptop.
I have been pretty impressed with all the new shows released in the U.S this season.
I made a deal with my co-worker that we wouldn't watch any of season 5 Gossip Girl until it was released on DVD so I needed something to tide me over for an uncomfortable 6 months wait,
Anyway, the shows that I have been religiously watching every week are:
The New Girl:
I do have a bit of a girl crush on Zooey. She is like a painting, just perfect and in this she is odd which I can relate too as I am sure some people think I am crazy. I love the relationships she is forming with her new housemates. I would love to live with boys like that!
2 Broke Girls:
I wouldn't put this show up with my favourites e.g. 30 Rock, Community, Arrested Development. But I do enjoy this show.
Up All Night:
I really like Christina Applegate. I remember watching 'Don't tell Mom the babysitter's dead' when I was like 10 and I always thought she was awesome. So her and Wil Arnett together is a major success! Although it was hard to get used to Wil as anyone other than Gob!
Hart of Dixie:
Now I am a sucker for a small town Southern drama/comedy. It has the same appeal as Gilmore Girls, and I like Rachel Bilson as she is a fellow browned eyes brunette. Also I ain't gonna to lie. I have a little crush on Wade Kinsellas, there is just something about his Southern charm.
Suburgatory:
I don't mind this show either, as it does real well at making fun of an exaggerated suburban lifestyle which we all know is both accurate in some aspects but ridiculous in others. Plus it is Elton from Clueless. He is a little bit cute for an older man. What is he? Like 40?
And lastly today I started watching 'The Secret Circle'. I feel like I have progressed from high school based TV shows, being a haggard 23 almost 24 year old. Well other than Glee, but I thought I would give it a look after reading about it in the TV guide. So far it is not bad. Reminds me of a book I read in Primary school about some girls who discovered they were witches.
Since I fly off to Africa in 2 weeks to volunteer I wont be able to watch for a while. But I am sure I will have a lot of resting and recovering to do when I return and I will be able to catch up.
I don't know how some people say they don't watch TV. There really is no better way to relax, then to have a cuppa and watch 30 Rock.

Sorry but I've been fucking Matt Damon
I have been so lazy of late.
No blogging, just being super lazy and watching more TV than a person should watch.
Anyway.
I watched this again for the first time in years.
Love them :)

Face of Famine.
A month or so ago I put photo's on my blog and on Facebook, showed my friends and parents, an disturbing image of a young baby suffering from malnutrition due to the African drought.
You can see that image here.

The first time I saw his picture I couldn't help but cry. It was shocking.
However I am now so happy to see that he has recovered significantly and is doing a lot better, not to mention looking a lot better.

I hope anyone who sees this thinks to donate even a few dollars to help these people.
I can't wait to go to Kenya myself in January to do my bit!

I have been naughty
Although my savings have gotten down to the lowest it has been in a few years (mostly due to paying off my African adventure) I couldn't help myself once I realised I was paid a bit early this fortnight. Goodbye $300 bucks in a matter of minutes.
I went a little crazy on ASOS.com. Considering the fact that I have no space in my wardrobe nor a coat hanger that has less than 3 items already draping from it, these purchases were not wise.
I went a little crazy on ASOS.com. Considering the fact that I have no space in my wardrobe nor a coat hanger that has less than 3 items already draping from it, these purchases were not wise.
I love this 'Rare' dress, I'm quite fond of a Peter Pan collar and
I love sequins, so this was fate. Hope it looks nice on.
I almost bought the blouse also but for almost $60 I thought best to try and source a cheaper alternative.
I really love the black shift though, I think it would be perfect with stockings and a similar top to wear to interviews when I am going for teaching job interviews next winter.
Just an update, I ended up caving and buying the blouse too. Can't help myself.
These collar tips were so cute, I couldn't resist. Hate spiders though,
so I am surprised by their appeal.
This was on sale, and was only in a size bigger than I
would usually buy, so either it will fit perfectly and my other two
wont or this might be a bit big. But again, love a good peter pan collar.
These remind me of my self in high school. Went through a bit of a skull phase,
due tot hat my parents would buy me anything with skulls on it for a
considerable amount of time.
I usually only wear silver or white gold. However some dress pieces
I have purchased recently are gold tone or brass so
I thought this stacker would be a good way of starting to incorporate
the other colours.
And then I found a sale on some of the pieces from the Erin Wasson 'Low Luv' collection
I had been coveting the Thunderbird cuff for a very long time, however
got a similar eagle cuff on Gypsy Warrior.com so had to settle with
these studs. I love the whole aztec, bohemian trend. Although I'd say
I have been like that since I was 13 so I'd have to say it is more
a trend that best suits me.
This little bracelet was quite expensive, I would never usually spend that much on
costume jewellery and I call it costume just because it is only silver plated. I think I will
attempt to make this my everyday bracelet. If I can remember to put it on.
I used to wear a little red Kabbalah bracelet with a Hamsa on it which I got from a seller in Israel but
the last few have fallen off almost immediately so I am happy to have something on my wrist again.
I hope everything fits and I am not left with buyers remorse!
I also hope I look after the jewellery. I have been pretty careless with my earrings lately. For someone who actually works at a jewellery store I am pretty bad a keeping my stuff safe. Touch wood, it is a surprise I still have my diamond ring.
